Coronavirus relief grants have helped organizations in Iowa fund crucial job training. Recently, the State Center Police Department was able to train, educate, and fill a need for reserve officers with the grant assistance. In the end, 50 candidates will have successfully made it through the program. In some cases, these are communities with one active officer. Lakeside Village is a Senior Community Center in Panora, Iowa. With the help of the Coronavirus Relief Fund Employer Innovation Grant, the staff was able to receive certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a local CNA training center.
